Public information displays can increase awareness of community events and support social engagement.
Strategy Requirements
Include a minimum of one designated, permanent display space that:
- Is accessible to all regular occupants
- Displays updated community events and information including:
- community meetings
- voting dates
- maintenance schedules
- cultural events and programming
- healthy food retailers
- health and wellness programming
- local transit choices
- healthcare facilities
- childcare facilties
- community destinations
- community-wide training programs
- Is either digital or analog
- Is located within the project boundary in a minimum of one high-traffic corridor or community destination, such as:
- an intersection
- park or plaza
- area(s) of commerce
- civic and/or institutional building(s)
- transit stop(s)
- commercial and/or industrial building(s)
Note: Digital mobile apps do not qualify for this strategy
Design Certification
Submit all of the following:
- An official or draft statement that:
- confirms that the display will be accessible to all regular occupants
- outlines the community events and information that will be displayed
- Annotated map(s) or plan(s) identifying the planned location of a minimum of one permanent community information display
- Design drawings detailing the design of the display
Built Certification
Submit all of the following:
- An official statement confirming that the display will be accessible to all regular occupants
- Annotated map(s) or plan(s) identifying the location of a minimum of one permanent community information display
- A minimum of 3 annotated photographs showing the following:
- the types of community information and events displayed
- the design of the display
