Strategy Requirements
Implement an emergency response volunteer and training program that:
- Enlists volunteers to be part of an emergency response team. Volunteers must:
- live or be employed full-time within the project boundary
- be trained a minimum of twice annually in a minimum of two qualifying emergency preparedness procedures
- be trained in protective action for each identified potential emergency scenario(s) (e.g. evacuation, sheltering, shelter-in-place, backup generators)
- establish a framework for community-wide communication
- inventory emergency resources kept within the project boundary
- Offers on-site trainings open to all regular occupants a minimum of 2 times per year for two qualifying emergency preparedness procedures
Qualifying emergency preparedness procedures include:
- educating children about preparedness
- delivering resources and services
- first aid and health services training
- overdose response training
Design Certification
Submit all of the following:
- The official or draft emergency volunteer and training program
- An official or draft statement confirming
- the on-site trainings that will be offered to regular occupants
- that the trainings will be offered a minimum of 2 times per year
Built Certification
Submit all of the following:
- The official emergency volunteer and training program
- The official schedule of on-site trainings that will be offered to all regular occupants
