Aim
To ensure that the development contributes to the local area by enhancing skills and training opportunities.
Assessment Criteria
The following is required to demonstrate compliance:
One credit
- The developer consults with the community, local businesses, training providers and relevant authorities to identify training and skills initiatives that would be beneficial to the local area. This builds on the work done through SE 02 – Demographic needs and priorities.
Two credits
- Criterion 1 is achieved.
- The development will support and promote the provision of training and skills initiatives in the local area during the planning and/or construction phase.
- The promoted training and skills initiatives align with those identified through consultation.
Three credit
- Criteria 1 to 4 are achieved
- The developer will partner with a training provider to promote and contribute to a legacy of local training and skills initiatives for residents and businesses in the development and wider area.
- The local training and skills initiatives will align with those identified through consultation.
