803.1 - Reclaimed, Gray, or Recycled Water

Reclaimed, gray, or recycled water is used as permitted by applicable code.

Note: Points only awarded for one of below option, not both.

each water closet flushed by reclaimed, gray, or recycled water (5 points per fixture or appliance; 20 points MAX)
irrigation from reclaimed, gray, or recycled water on-site (10 points)

Required Documentations

Confirm greywater reclaimed or recycled is compliant with IRC Appendix O and as permitted by local building code.

803.2 - Reclaimed Water, Graywater, or Rainwater Pre-Piping (3 points per roughed in system)

Reclaimed, graywater, or rainwater systems are rough plumbed (and permanently marked, tagged or labeled) into buildings for future use.

803.3 - Automatic Leak Detection and Control Devices (2 points)

Required Documentations

When fire sprinkler system present, provide installer’s certification that shutoff does not interfere with sprinklers.

803.4 - Engineered Biological System or Intensive Bioremediation System (20 points)

An engineered biological system or intensive bioremediation system is installed and the treated water is used on site. Design and implementation are approved by appropriate regional authority.

Required Documentation

Local jurisdiction approval.

803.5 - Recirculating Humidifier (1 point)

Where a humidifier is required, a recirculating humidifier is used in lieu of a traditional “flow through” type.

803.6 - Advanced Wastewater Treatment System (20 points)

Advanced wastewater (aerobic) treatment system is installed and treated water is used on site.
